They had two sons, John Joseph Burke III and Edmund P. Burke.

Grace was previously married to a Roberts, and was using that surname when she married Walter Anderson.

Grace B. Anderson
Funeral services for Grace B. Anderson, 74, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Seventh-day Adventist Church with the Pastors Fred McGhee and Richard Pollard, officiating. Burial will follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. Anderson was born Dec. 27, 1904 in Fresno, and died Thursday at the Lompoc District Hospital. A resident for the past 50 years, she last resided at 332 South L. St. She was a graduate of Atlantic Union College, where she earned her BA degree in music and attended Boston Conservatory of Music. She was well known in the community for her many piano and organ contributions.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the Santa Barbara Symphony Board, Community Concert Association, Alpha Club, Miguelito Chapter no. 176 O.E.S., Vandenberg Village Country Club, Women’s Auxiliary of Santa Barbara Medical Society, and a former member of the Lompoc Library Board.

Survivors include two sons, Walter Burke Anderson, M.D. and John Richard Anderson, a sister, Helen Twyford and eight grandchildren, all of Lompoc.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lompoc District Hospital Memorial Fund, 508 E. Hickory Ave.

Friends may call at the Starbuck Mortuary Chapel until 8 p.m. today.

     Herbert Leo Burkert was born on 2 October 1925 at Clinton Co., IA. He was the son of Leo Myron Burkert and Azala Ann Wright. Herbert Leo Burkert began military service on 18 January 1944 WW II service, U.S. Army, enlisted, was held prisoner of war at Stalag 7A, Moosburg, Bavaria.
