Mrs. Lillian I. Anderson, age 59, passed away at 8:20 a.m. Tuesday at Louisville’s Norton Memorial Infirmary.
She was past president of the Little York-area Homemaker’s Club and was the present worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 512 at Little York. She was a native of Scott County, and a life resident of Washington and Scott Counties, a member of the Little York Christian Church. She was the daughter of the late George W. and Alga Trueblood Byerly.
Survivors include her husband, William B. Anderson; two sons, Norman (Andy) Anderson, Madison, and Larry D. Anderson, of the home; two sisters, Mrs. E___ Howell and Miss Marjorie Byerly, both of Little York; a brother, A____ Wesley Byerly of Vevay, Indiana and four grandchildren.

Marietta Byerly, born July 5, 1894 to John and Elizabeth in Warrensburg, Missouri, and deceased December 24, 1914 in the Oakhill Nursing Home, Jones, Okla.
As a child she moved with her parents to Payne County, Oklahoma, near Coyle, In the early, 1900's she and her family moved to Elk City where she attended school. After high school she taught grade school in the Elk City area before entering McPherson College, McPherson, Kansas. Following college graduation, with a degree in Home Economics, she taught in the Hillsboro, Kansas High School for 3 years. The next couple of years she attended school to obtain her Masters Degree in Home Economics and her certification in Dietetics.
Most of her teaching has been in college in the Home Economics department. She taught in the Junior Colleges in Warner and Poteau and began in Murray State College in Tishomingo in 1937 and retired after 23 years.
Early in life her goal was to make a dedicated contribution to the educational field in which she spent 40 years teaching. Her desire was to inspire and encourage youth to prepare for life that they too could make a contribution to others. She was especially interested and continually encouraged her nieces and nephews to seek an education that would better prepare themselves for life.
Miss Byerly was active in Community life. She was a member and served as an officer in the local Chapter and a State Officer of the Business Professional Women's Club. She served as sponsor and officer in the Delta Kappa Gamma Society at Murray State and also in the State Society.
In her girlhood her life was committed to serving Christ. She united with the Church of the Brethren. Through life, serving and witnessing for Jesus Christ was a daily part of her life. Each Sunday, where ever she may be found her in Church as a Sunday School teacher singing in the Choir and giving thanks for God's great love and goodness. She was a devout Christian and loved and respected by all with whom she came in contact. Upon moving to Tishomingo she became a member of the Methodist Church and was an active and faithful member and worker.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Hazel Byerly Fowler, Colorado and 21 niece and nephews and a host of friends.

Born September 22, 1891 at Warrensberg, Mo., he was seven when his family moved by wagon train to Indian Territory, Okla.
At Coyle, Okla., he met and married Hazel Rohrer October 2, 1912. To them were born eight children: John Byerly Pueblo; Mrs. J. T. (Mary) Enos, Rocky Ford; Mrs C. C. (Esther) Markham, Fowler; Dr. Charles Byerly, Mason City, Illinois; Mrs. J. E. (Lida) Chapman, Salt Lake City Utah; Ben Byerly, Chestertown, Md; Mrs. Jimmie McCormick (Ellen) Salida; and Mrs. Robert (Wanda) Negley, Buena Vista. He is also survived by a sister, Miss Marietta Byerly of Tishomingo, Okla., 30 grandchildren and seven great-grand-children.
The Byerlys moved to Colorado in 1943 and lived near Fowler until 1945 when they moved to a ranch near Westcliffe where they lived until ill health caused them to move to Illinois in October of this year.
Funeral services were held December 18 at Mason City, with all children being present.
