Fred Coakley married Tessa Bernice Chenoweth, daughter of Elias Chenoweth and Sarah Parker, on 22 February 1916 at Iowa City, Johnson Co., IA. Fred Coakley died on 22 February 1988 at Washington, Washington Co., IA, at age 93.

     George W. Coakley married Harriet Louise Henderson.

     John H. Coakley was born on 9 January 1872 at Illinois. He was the son of George W. Coakley and Harriet Louise Henderson. John H. Coakley married Mary Matilda Kirkpatrick, daughter of James S. Kirkpatrick and Lydia A. Pigg, on 29 July 1894 at Ipava, Fulton Co., IL. John H. Coakley died on 8 May 1959 at Macomb, McDonough Co., IL, at age 87.

     Orville F. Coakley was born on 24 December 1916 at Washington, Washington Co., IA. He was the son of Fred Coakley and Tessa Bernice Chenoweth. Orville F. Coakley married Merna Viola Stone, daughter of Lester Stone and Sadie Cooper, on 4 August 1937 at Crown Point, Lake Co., IN. Orville F. Coakley died on 6 March 2001 at Washington, Washington Co., IA, at age 84. He was buried in March 2001 at Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington, Washington Co., IA.

     Reed J. Coakley was born on 3 April 1911 at Nichols, Muscatine Co., IA. He was the son of John H. Coakley and Mary Matilda Kirkpatrick. Reed J. Coakley married Ethel Peterson on 2 March 1946 at Detroit, Wayne Co., MI. Reed J. Coakley died on 18 November 2002 at Linton, Greene Co., IA, at age 91.

     Reva Coakley was born on 5 August 1915 at Washington, Washington Co., IA. She was the daughter of John H. Coakley and Mary Matilda Kirkpatrick. Reva Coakley married William Clare Black on 26 June 1937 at Delavan, Tazewell Co., IL.

     Florence Coar was born in 1889.¹ She was the daughter of William Coar and Ida Price.¹ Florence Coar married Maurice Troxel, son of John Troxel and Anna (?), in 1912.¹

     Martha Coar was born on 14 April 1877.¹ She was the daughter of John Coar and Martha Kline.¹ Martha Coar married Harry P. Robinson, son of Henry Robinson and Lavinia S. Price, on 25 August 1891.¹ Martha Coar died on 17 March 1917 at age 39.¹

     Rella Coar was born in 1895.¹ She was the daughter of William Coar and Ida Price.¹ Rella Coar died in 1918.¹

     David Bailey Coates was born on 22 November 1859 at Hillsdale Co., MI. He married Sarah Adeline Windle, daughter of Jacob Windle and Tryphenia Wilcox, on 17 September 1882 at Ft. Payette Pioneer Buried Sunday
David B. Coates, 82, Passes Away Last Thursday Morning

Last Sunday residents of Payette county paid homage to the memory of another of her pioneers at the funeral of D. B. Coates, who passed away on Thursday of last week. Rev. E. R. Kaemmer had charge of the service and burial was made in Riverside cemetery under the direction of the Peterson-Foster funeral home.
Six sons of the deceased, George, Albert, Early, Clarence, Howard and Lee Coates acted as pall bearers, and W. A. Crump, Chas. Bolton, Frank Supplee, Robert Thornton and Albert Hobbs, all old time friends of the deceased, were honorary pall bearers.
David Bailey Coates was born Nov. 22, 1859 in Hillsdale county, Mich. He was married Sept. 17, 1882, to Sarah Adeline Windle in Boise, and they moved immediately to Payette to make their home. The couple celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary on Sept. 17, 1942.
Mr. Coates, pioneer of this area, was a member of I. O. O. F. lodge No. 22 since 1890.
His first work in the west was with a Union Pacific railroad construction crew, and he was one of the men who helped lay the tracks through Payette.
Mr. Coates also was an active organizer of the Farmers Co-Operative Creamery, being a former president for 20 years. He also was associated during the years with the Rossi-Ridenbaugh Lumber company, the Payette Equity Exchange, the Federal Land bank and helped organize Riverside cemetery where he was buried Sunday.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Bertha M. Clark in Alberta, Canada; Mrs. Rosa Bell Davis, Vancouver, Wash., and Mrs. Lucy W. Davis, Fruitland; six sons, George, New Plymouth; Albert, Payette; Earl, Payette; Clarence, Payette; Howard, Vancouver, Wash; Lee Roy, Newberg, Ore., and 27 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He was buried in 1942 at Riverside Cemetery, Payette, Payette Co., ID.

     Donald B. Coates was born circa 1924. He was the son of George Bailey T. Coates and Maude Astelle White.

     Earl James Coates was born on 15 March 1893 at Payette, Payette Co., ID. He was the son of David Bailey Coates and Sarah Adeline Windle. Earl James Coates married Bertha Lila Cheek on 25 October 1919 at Payette, Payette Co., ID. Earl James Coates died on 20 December 1971 at Boise, Ada Co., ID, at age 78. He was buried in December 1971 at Riverside Cemetery, Payette, Payette Co., ID.

     Edward Earl Coates was born on 19 August 1923 at Payette, Payette Co., ID. He was the son of Earl James Coates and Bertha Lila Cheek. Edward Earl Coates married Peggy Shirtliff on 6 December 1943 at Payette Co., ID.

     Electa Coates was born on 24 May 1847 at Indiana.¹ She married Simon Snyder on 11 November 1865 at Randolph Co., IN. Electa Coates died on 4 April 1907 at Harrisville, Randolph Co., IN, at age 59.

     Etta A. Coates was born circa 1922 at Payette Co., ID. She was the daughter of Howard Coates and Gladys O'Bannon. Etta A. Coates married Tony Fermelli circa 1937.

     Etta May Coates was born on 15 August 1902.¹ She was the daughter of Haines Coates and Irene Barrett.¹ Etta May Coates married George William Brower, son of Christian Brower and Catherine E. Aulenbach, on 4 May 1918.² Etta May Coates died in December 1985 at Chester Co., PA, at age 83 Dates per SSDI, last residence West Chester.

     George Bailey T. Coates was born on 18 April 1888 at Payette, Payette Co., ID. He was the son of David Bailey Coates and Sarah Adeline Windle. George Bailey T. Coates married Maude Astelle White on 16 November 1919 at Payette, Payette Co., ID. George Bailey T. Coates died on 17 January 1967 at Boise, Ada Co., ID, at age 78. He was buried in January 1967 at Rosedale Cemetery, Payette, Payette Co., ID.

     Haines Coates married Irene Barrett.¹

     Homer L. Coates was born in 1921 at Payette Co., ID. He was the son of Howard Coates and Gladys O'Bannon. Homer L. Coates married Viola Bernice Weber circa 1945.
