GOLD CANYON, Ariz. — Former Andover resident, Olive M. Hart, was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, after a prolonged illness. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends.

Olive was born Jan. 10, 1926, to Delbert and Beryl Cook in Colebrook, Ohio. Olive and her husband, Gaylord, lived in the area all their life until three years ago, when they moved to Gold Canyon, Ariz. to live with their oldest daughter.

Olive graduated from Colebrook High School and was employed by Pymatuning Valley School District for 19 years, retiring in 1985. She was an active member of Andover Christian Church and then attended Gold Canyon United Methodist Church after moving to Arizona.

Olive is survived by her husband of 64 years, Gaylord; and two daughters, Kathleen Fabish of Gold Canyon, Ariz. and Barbara Garding of Ocala, Fla; as well as three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, Sept. 19th, at Gold Canyon United Methodist Church, 6640 S. Kings Ranch Road, Gold Canyon, Ariz. 85118.

Funeral services for W. H. Cook, 83, who died Saturday noon at his home at 291? West street, were held at 2 p. m., Monday from the Adams chapel. Burial was in the Ames cemetery.
The Rev. A. R. McLaughlin of the Congregational church and the Rev. Walter Barlow of the Collegiate Presbyterian church were in charge of the service.
Mr. Cook was born in Berlin, Ill., Aug. 5, 1854. He was married to Martha Alexander of Mount Vernon, Ia., Dec. 30, 1891, and after living a short time in Charles City the family moved to Webster City.
During his 36 years in Webster City, Mr. Cook was in the music business and was active in promoting artist concerts in the city. When his health failed in 1931. Mr. and Mrs. Cook moved to Ames to be with their daughter, Rosalind, who is an instructor in the music department at Iowa State college.
Surviving, besides the wife and daughter her, are one sister, Mrs. W. H. Brown of Medford, Ore., a brother, Jesse Cook of Grandview, Wash.

Rev. William Clarence Cook, 69, of 641 Fifth St., NE, Pulaski, died Monday, Aug. 14, 1995, in the Pulaski Community Hospital.

Born in Draper on June 9, 1926, he was the son of the late John William Cook and Virginia Windle Cook.

He was a veteran of World War having served in the United States Army where he was wounded in action in the Philippine.

Rev. Cook was a member and Chaplain of VFW Post #1184, Pulaski, and a member of the American Legion Post #7, Pulaski. He was a member of the Draper's Valley Baptist Church and was the pastor of Brookmont Presbyterian Church, Brookmont Road, Pulaski.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth R. Cook of Pulaski; a daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and James Kidd of Dublin; one sister, Mrs. Clyde (Nancy) Thompson of Pulaski; one brother, George Cook of Chester; two grandchildren, Stephanie and Matthew Kidd of Dublin.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday from the Draper's Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Wilfred Overton and the Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating. Burial will follow in the Draper's Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Pulaski County, with Pulaski VFW Post #1184 conducting the military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Draper's Valley Baptist Church. Stevens Funeral Home Inc., Pulaski, is in charge of arrangements.

William S. Cook died Sunday about noon at his late residence in the pine section of the County, following an extended illness from heart trouble, aged 56 years. He was a man of thrift and a most excellent citizen esteemed by a host of friends. He is survived by his widow and several children. There are two sisters, Mrs M. M. Gregory and Mrs. Bernard Richards, and one brother. Issac Cook. The funeral service was conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late home, the Rev. T. M. McChesney, of the Presbyterian church officiating. Burial was in Taylor graveyard several miles from the home. The Palbearers were: W. Roseberry, Lacy Taylor, Wyatt Calfee, Ernest, John and Ephriam Sayers. Tuesday, April 10, 1923, Southwest Times, Pulaski, Virginia.
