Herbert Reginald Cornelius died on 7 February 1988 at Home of his sister in-law, Pembroke Pines, Broward Co., FL, at age 71. He was buried in February 1988 at Houston, Harris Co., TX.

     Herman Ellsworth Cornelius lived at St. Paul, Ramsey Co., MN. He was born on 14 October 1886. He was the son of Christopher Henry Cornelius and Loretta E. Surface.

     Ira Jacob Cornelius was born on 10 April 1885 at Muskingum Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Wilbur Orren Cornelius and Ida Margaret Love. Ira Jacob Cornelius married Della May Eckelberry, daughter of Archibald Eckelberry and Emma Law, on 14 September 1911. Ira Jacob Cornelius died in 1954. He was buried in 1954 at Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield, Coshocton Co., OH.

     Ira L. Cornelius was born in January 1879 at Muskingum Co. (probably), OH.¹ He was the son of Christopher Cornelius and Harriet Josephine St. Clair. Ira L. Cornelius married Anna (?) circa 1906 at Boulder Co. (probably), CO.

     Iris Cleo Cornelius was born on 14 October 1890 at Muskingum Co. (probably), OH.¹ She was the daughter of William Cornelius and Agnes (?)¹ Iris Cleo Cornelius married Lyman Robert Burwell, son of Robert C. Burwell and Henrietta Mears, circa 1919.² Iris Cleo Cornelius lived on 25 April 1930 at Washington Twp., Muskingum Co., OH, Farming.² She died in February 1986 at Zanesville, Muskingum Co., OH, at age 95 Dates per SSDI, last residence Zanesville. She was buried in 1986 at Greenwood Cemetery, Zanesville, Muskingum Co., OH, Find A Grave Memorial# 66865671.

     Irvin C. Cornelius was born in May 1886 at Knox Twp. (probably), Guernsey Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Allen K. Cornelius and Minerva Love.¹

     Note: There is no known documentary proof that Isaac Cornelius from Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania was the father of Christopher Cornelius born 1804 in Ohio. Here is the circumstantial evidence:

1. Isaac first appears in Ohio land records purchasing land in Monroe Twp. Muskingum County in 1814. Shows up in 1820 Ohio Census. Page 131.

2. In 1807, Continuance Dockets of Huntingdon County, PA, January 1807 term, Isaac Cornelius among insolvent debtors, confined in prison. It appears this Isaac who was imprisoned in Pennsylvania, who assigned his property over to Jacob Cornelius for use of his creditors after his imprisonment, may be the same Isaac who was in Ohio, being that a Jacob Cornelius was paid money from the estate of the Ohio Isaac Cornelius.

3. After the death of Isaac Cornelius in 1822, his wife Barbara was appointed guardian of Elijah, age 2, Mary Ann, age 9 and Hannah age 4. David Acheson was appointed guardian of Christopher, listed as age as seven.

4. The Bible once owned by William Cornelius, brother of Christopher Cornelius, has the first entry with Isaac's name, the date of his death of 1822 and that he came from Huntingdon Co., PA.

He married Barbara (?) circa 1799 at Huntingdon Co., PA, Appears as a head of household in 1800 census of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, but had no children.

     Isaac Cornelius was born on 31 January 1824. He was the son of William Cornelius and Nancy McHenry. Isaac Cornelius married Nancy Bainter on 5 March 1843. Isaac Cornelius died on 8 September 1846 at age 22.

     James Cornelius was born on 30 October 1834 at Muskingum Co. (probably), OH. He was the son of William Cornelius and Nancy McHenry.

     James A. Cornelius was born in October 1897 at Arapahoe Co. (probably), CO. He was the son of James Monroe Cornelius and Ada Leana Holmes.

     James Monroe Cornelius was born on 19 October 1862 at Muskingum Co., OH. He was the son of James W. Cornelius and Sarah Elizabeth Shryock. James Monroe Cornelius married Ada Leana Holmes circa 1892 at Colby, Thomas Co., KS, They had twelve children, three died at birth. James Monroe Cornelius lived on 25 June 1900 at Petersburg, Arapahoe Co., CO, Homesteaded in Thomas County, Kansas. He was one of the first drivers of the horse street cars in Denver, but city life was too confining and they moved to Sterling, Colorado in 1900.

     James W. Cornelius was born on 6 January 1831 at Monroe Twp., Muskingum Co., OH. He was the son of Christopher Cornelius and Susannah Jack. James W. Cornelius married Sarah Elizabeth Shryock, daughter of George Washington Shryock and Abigail Easter, on 26 October 1852 at Muskingum Co., OH. James W. Cornelius began military service Civil War Veteran. Co. D. 78th Reg. OVI. He died on 20 February 1915 at Guernsey Co., OH, at age 84. He was buried in February 1915 at Boden Cemetery, Knox Twp., Guernsey Co., OH.

     Jane Elizabeth Cornelius was also known as "Jennie". She was born on 20 May 1878. She was the daughter of George W. Cornelius and Caroline M. Phelps. Jane Elizabeth Cornelius married Arizona Cole Ankrum, son of Archibald Porter Ankrum and Lavina Kentzler, on 2 September 1902. Jane Elizabeth Cornelius died on 16 February 1949 at age 70. She was buried in February 1949 at Kimbolton Cemetery, Liberty Twp., Guernsey Co., OH.

     Jennie M. Cornelius was born in June 1889 at Grady Co. (probably), Chickasaw Nation (now OK). She was the daughter of Valentine Cornelius and Flossie Blodgett.

     John Cornelius was born on 18 September 1842 at Muskingum Co. (probably), OH. He was the son of William Cornelius and Nancy McHenry. John Cornelius married Catherine (?) on 7 January 1850 at Muskingum Co. (probably), OH. John Cornelius died on 2 May 1918 at age 75.

     John Cornelius was born circa 1721 at New York or Maryland. He married Eleanor Little on 27 November 1751 at Episcopal Parish of St. Thomas, Baltimore, MD. John Cornelius died on 13 April 1807 at Huntingdon Co., PA.

     Juliette Cornelius was born circa 1856. She was the daughter of George Cornelius and Margaret Eckelberry.

     Laura Belle Cornelius was born in July 1868 at Knox Twp. (probably), Guernsey Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of James W. Cornelius and Sarah Elizabeth Shryock. Laura Belle Cornelius died in 1930.

     Lela Ann Cornelius was born on 25 December 1926. She was the daughter of Robert Henry Cornelius and Anna J. Boyd. Lela Ann Cornelius married Richard Gerard Carter in February 1945.

     Leola May Cornelius was born on 1 November 1896 at Knox Twp. (probably), Guernsey Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of Wilbur Orren Cornelius and Ida Margaret Love. Leola May Cornelius married Emery Earl Welker on 22 December 1915. Leola May Cornelius died on 17 August 1982 at Coshocton Co., OH, at age 85.

     Lewis Cornelius was born on 27 December 1797 at Shirley Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA.¹ He was the son of Peter Cornelius and Rebecca Morgan. Lewis Cornelius married Amelia Burns, daughter of Isaac Burns and Catherine Latta, circa 1826 at Huntingdon Co., PA. Lewis Cornelius died on 25 April 1881 at Buffalo Twp., Ogle Co., IL, at age 83.

     Linnie Arabella Cornelius was born in March 1876 at Muskingum Co. (probably), OH.¹ She was the daughter of Morgan Simms Cornelius and Mary Ann Miller. Linnie Arabella Cornelius married George Madison Shryock, son of Henry Martin Shryock and Mary Elizabeth Vencil, on 18 July 1894 at Guernsey Co., OH, Ceremony by Rev. Thomas Orr.² Linnie Arabella Cornelius lived in April 1910 at Lafayette Twp., Coshocton Co., OH.¹ She lived in January 1920 at Coshocton, Coshocton Co., OH. She died in 1927.

     Lorren Ernest Cornelius was born on 25 January 1880. He was the son of Christopher Henry Cornelius and Loretta E. Surface. Lorren Ernest Cornelius married Vera Lottie Kern, daughter of John Kern and Ida (?), in 1905 at St. Louis, MO. Lorren Ernest Cornelius lived on 21 January 1920 at 3936 Palm Street, St. Louis, MO. Occupation: President, Cornelius Lumber Co. He died in July 1964 at Missouri at age 84.

     Louise Cornelius was born in September 1896 at CO.¹ She was the daughter of Christopher Cornelius and Harriet Josephine St. Clair.¹

     Lucetta J. Cornelius was born in December 1855 at Muskingum or Guernsey Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of Morgan Simms Cornelius and Mary Ann Miller. Lucetta J. Cornelius married Richard W. Wolf, son of John Wolf and Lavina (?), on 6 February 1882, 5 children born to the marriage, 4 living, as of 1900 census.¹ Lucetta J. Cornelius lived on 1 June 1900 at Sheridan Twp., Daviess Co., MO.¹ She died after 22 April 1930 at Sheridan Twp., Daviess Co., MO.

     Lucinda Cornelius was born on 11 May 1845 at Muskingum Co. (probably), OH. She was the daughter of William Cornelius and Nancy McHenry. Lucinda Cornelius lived in 1870 at Elkhart Twp., Noble Co., IN.¹

     Lyman M. Cornelius was born on 13 December 1873 at Guernsey Co., OH. He was the son of Morgan Simms Cornelius and Mary Ann Miller. Lyman M. Cornelius married Cora May Williams on 11 January 1905 at Guernsey Co., OH. Lyman M. Cornelius died in 1962.

     Margaret Cornelius was born in 1870. She was the daughter of James W. Cornelius and Sarah Elizabeth Shryock. Margaret Cornelius married William Carnes on 4 June 1895 at Guernsey Co., OH.
