Lori loved writing poetry and short stories. She won an award for one of her poems. Lori also loved taking care of her many pets over the years and she enjoyed movies. She worked for Dice, Inc., as a customer support representative, and enjoyed doing trade shows and promoting the business.
Lori is survived by her children, Ashli (Kyle Hoyt) Hewitt and Anthony Hewitt; her children's father, Chris Hewitt; parents, Richard and Vivian Craig; brothers, Les Craig and Hal (Petra) Craig; and many beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her niece, Brianna, and brother, Brian.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 2, 2012, at Olivet Baptist Church 2743 82nd Place in Urbandale, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

20, 1870, at High Hill, Missouri, and passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, February
28, 1951.
On February 16, 1887, she was united in marriage to John Price Powell, and they made their home in
New Florence from that time on.
To this union seven children were born: Blanche Scholtan of St. Louis; Earl who preceded his mother
in death in 1934; Nellie Sanker, who passed away in 1926; John P. of St. Louis; Elsie Saak of Montgomery
City; and Harry and Edna, of the home.
Her husband passed away March 26, 1913.
In early married life she united with the Presbyterian Church of New Florence and ever lived a
Christian life.
She was a Past Matron of the Eastern Star, taking an active part in the work as long as her health
permitted. At the time of her death she was a member of Montgomery Chapter No. 388.
She was very fond of Music and derived much pleasure from it.
She always had a fond place in her heart for High Hill her girlhood home, and requested that Brother
Harold Nebel, the son of an old schoolmate, conduct her services.
Besides her devoted children she leaves four grand-children - Charles Sanker of Pacific, Missouri;
Helen Duckworth, of St. Louis; Catherine Scholten, of St. Louis; Richard Saak, of Montgomery City, and
many other relatives and friends who mourn her departure.
The funeral was held on Friday March 2, 1951. 2 p.m. from Hopkins Mortuary conducted by Bro.
Harold Nebel of High Hill, followed by Eastern Star Service. Mrs. Helen Rogers - Worthy Matron and
Mrs. Paul Thomas - Chaplain, taking part. Burial followed at New Florence Cemetery.
She was buried in March 1951 at New Florence Cemetery, New Florence, Montgomery Co., MO.

The funeral was held on Friday March 2, 1951. 2 p.m. from Hopkins Mortuary conducted by Bro.
Harold Nebel of High Hill, followed by Eastern Star Service. Mrs. Helen Rogers - Worthy Matron and
Mrs. Paul Thomas - Chaplain, taking part. Burial followed at New Florence Cemetery.
She was buried in March 1951 at New Florence Cemetery, New Florence, Montgomery Co., MO.
