SOUTH SOLON, Dec. 16 -- (Special) -- Harrison Curry, 85, one of the well known residents of this place, died yesterday evening, his death being due to Brights disease and complications.

He was a member of the K. of P. Lodge here.

He is survived by his widow, four sons, four daughters, a brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at one o'clock, at the Congregational Christian church, and burial will be made here.

J. A. Curry 78 dies in hospital at Lincoln. Burial to be at Lynden.

JA Curry 78 died Saturday evening at 9:20 in the Deaconess Hospital at Lincoln, Illinois. He had been ill for 3 days of a heart ailment. The body was removed to The Dudley Mortuary in Prophetstown where friends may call.(He died of myocardial failure, mitral insufficiency)

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in The Dudley Chapel with Reverend LC Campbell pastor of the Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be in Lynden Cemetery.

James Albert Curry was born October 9th, 1864, at Lawrenceville, Illinois the son of George William and Maria Irvin Curry. He was married to Emma Isadora Riggs March 31st, 1889. He later married Irene Althea Bull who died January 25th, 1932. He was a resident of this state except for one year spent in Colorado, (In La Junta, Colorado, 4 months prior to having first child, Charles Bernard in Jan 26, 1890, so would have been there about Sept/Oct of 1889. If they spent a year there they could have left about Sept/Oct 1890) a year and a half in Kansas, (Could have then been in Kansas between May/June of 1891 or later in year until birth of daughter, Fern, on Nov. 11, 1892), and two years in Indiana.

Survivors from his first marriage include three sons, William Albert, of Langdon, North Dakota, Taylor R. and Warren are of Prophetstown, three daughters, Mrs. Forest Lyon and Mrs. Charles Sibley of Prophetstown, and Mrs Loyal Hammer of Morrison, as well as three children by the latter marriage James Albert, Leila Belle, and Norma Jeanne of Lincoln. Also surviving are three brothers, Sylvester of Bloomington, John R. of Boone, and Kyle of Jefferson, Iowa, as well 1 sister Mrs. Lou McCollum of Grand Junction, Iowa. He also is survived by 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son of his first marriage, (Charles Bernard born Jan. 26, 1890, Ill.), a brother George, and a sister Nancy.

I spoke to Dorothy Curry Rush on Jan 16, 2021, and she said James Albert, Sr. is buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown, Ill., and Lynden is across the Rock River from Prophetstown a few miles.

He was buried in December 1942 at Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown, Whiteside Co., IL, a stone with birth date and no death date exists at South Elkhorn Cemetery in Carroll County -- that is where he intended to be buried, with his second wife, Irene. However, his daughter Lena insisted on having him buried at Riverside Cemetery, where his (16-year divorced) ex-wife was also to be buried. Irene's children were too young to have any influence on the decision. This information per Rosalind Pellikaan, his granddaughter. DLB 2021.

On Mar 31, 1889, James Albert Curry married Emma Isadora Rigg,(b. 3 Dec 1861 in Mt.Carmel, Ill.) daughter of Charles Rigg and Gabrella Brown, at Mount Carmel, Wabash Co., IL., at the home of her parents.

At this time James was living in Ellsworth, Dawson Township, McClean Co., Ill, age 24. Emma was living in Maude, Wabash Co., Ill., age 27. (The couple met in Coolidge,(most likely), Hamilton Co., Kansas, when Emma was homesteading with her sister. Her older sisters's names were Rachel Ellen, Eliza Marie, Sarah Priscella, and Annie Melissa, however, it is unknown which sister lived in Coolidge, Hamilton Co., Kansas. It is evident that the couple went back to Illinois after they married, as they had their son, Charles Bernard, there on Jan.26, 1890.

On Jan 26, 1890, James and Emma Isadora had a son, Charles Bernard, in Ill. He died Feb 1, 1890. (1890 Census unavailable). After Charles Bernard died, they may have visited Emma's sister in Kansas again on their way to LaJunta, Colorado, (possibly March,1891), about 4 months before having their next child William Albert Curry, Jr., Aug. 17, 1891, in LaJunta, Otero Co., Colorado. (According to Emma Isadora's obituary the couple lived in Colorado a year and a half), (possibly leaving Colorado after William Albert Curry, Jr. was born in Aug, 1891 and possibly returning to Coolidge, Kansas, to Emma's sister's place.)

On Aug 17, 1891, the couple had a son, William Albert Curry, Jr., in LaJunta, Otero Co., Colorado. They were in Colorado 4 months prior to his birth, possibly March, 1891. They lived in Colorado 1 1/2 years, returned to Coolidge, Kansas after William Albert was born, staying in Kansas for a year.

After Irene died, James first hired a housekeeper to care for the children, then he placed them in the Mount Carmel Orphanage in Whiteside County in 1937. It was a conservative religious institution. He later moved them to the Odd Fellows Orphanage in Lincoln, Illinois, where he found work, and the children were well cared for and graduated from the public school system there, per James' granddaughter Rosalind Pellikaan. Some of the children of James' first marriage maintained contact with the children of his second marriage.

MEMORIES OF HIS DAUGHTER LELIA:

Sept. 19, 1989 Divorce papers were obtained on James A. Curry and Emma Isadora Rigg Curry which occurred May 5 or 12, 1926. these are in the Curry file.

Oct. 19, 1989 James A. Curry made sugar cookies and gooseberry pie for Fern and also Lelia when they were growing up.

Feb. 8, 1990 James A. always dressed up for holidays and walked to the orphanage in the freezing cold to be with his children. James Albert, Jr. and Lelia Belle lived there 11 years and Norma Jeanne lived there for 12 years.

NOTE FROM ROSALIND -- My mother, Lelia, remembered her father was loving to them. She recalled thinking that when she saw him haul foundation blocks in a wheel barrow he would stack them in rows as high as your head in the sweltering heat. She wanted to grow up in a hurry and take care of her dear father. He was a terrific gardener and hoed it with a harrow that had a V-shaped blade to turn ground for planting.

He built a mobile home himself and moved to Lincoln, Ill in 1937. He had bad luck with the hills around Peoria, Ill., pulling the trailer. It overturned before he made it into Lincoln. He tried to sell his garden vegetables and the officials threatened to place him in jail for not buying a license to sell them. He supported himself at the advanced age of 78. He also never went to town without being quite tidy and never showed up there in overalls or dirt on him. When he came for his last meal with us he brought his appetite and wore a nice suit and tie, but he was very shaky coming in from the cold. He never gave up, and he always saw that we had a good home and visit often.

     James Albert Curry Jr. was also known as "Bud". He was born on 9 April 1929 at Sterling, Whiteside Co., IL. He was the son of James Albert Curry and Irene Althea Bull. James Albert Curry Jr. began military service Korean War service. He married Nancy Ellen Ritchhart, daughter of Harold Raymond Ritchhart and Wilma Amaryllis Shay, Nancy remarried to a Treatch. James Albert Curry Jr. and Nancy Ellen Ritchhart were divorced before November 1996. James Albert Curry Jr. died on 28 March 2009 at Springfield, Sangamon Co., IL, at age 79

LINCOLN - James A. "Bud" Curry, 79, of Springfield, formerly of Lincoln, died at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at St. John's Hospital, Springfield.

Mr. Curry retired from Pittsburgh Plate Glass Industries in Lincoln in 1991, after 38 years of service. He was a former member of Lincoln Christian Church. He attended Westside Christian Church in Springfield.

Buddy was raised at the Lincoln Odd Fellows Home from childhood. He had a love for dancing and auto racing. He entered the Army Jan 3, 1950, and served during the Korean Conflict.

He was born April 9, 1929, in Sterling, the son of James Albert and Althea Irene Bull Curry Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sons, Jim, David and Michael Curry; a sister; four stepbrothers; and three stepsisters.

He is survived by three sons, Greg (Lisa) Curry, Jeff (Jackie) Curry and Rob Curry, all of Lincoln; a daughter, Suzi (Roger) Alsup of Lincoln; a daughter-in-law, Ann Curry of Elkhart; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a step great-grandchild; a sister, Lelia-Belle Curry of Bowling Green, Mo; a niece, Rosalind Pellikaan of Missouri; companion, Loine Coe of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Bud was raised at the Lincoln Odd Fellows Home from childhood. He had a love for dancing and auto racing. He was a former member of Lincoln Christian Church and attended West Side Christian Church in Springfield.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2009, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2009, at the funeral home, with Dustin Fulton officiating. Burial will be at New Union Cemetery in Lincoln.

James Richard Curry married Alice Ree Bryant on 27 August 1947 at Stuart Street Christian Church, Springfield, Sangamon Co., IL; license issue reported in the 9 AUG 1947 issue of the Daily Illinois State Register, page 7. Barbara was first married to a Waddell. She later remarried to a Holliday, and finally on 10 JUL 1970 to Wynn Thomas Wilkins (1925-2010), a WW II U.S. Navy veteran.

Mr. Curry, 44, died at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday at his home. He had been a resident of Springfield his entire life.

     James Seawright Curry was born A public member tree on Ancestry.com has this as a James S. Curry, Jr., of Centre County, Pennsylvania, however the son of that James S. Curry, James (1818-1887), lived and died in Centre and Clearfield Counties, Pennsylvania, so that information is not correct. DLB 2021. He married Elizabeth (?), A public member tree on Ancestry.com shows this marriage was 1796 in Rockbridge County, Virginia. Such a location seems most implausible to me -- such a difficult journey in the 1790s, but no other evidence that either one of them was within 250 miles of the place. DLB 2021. James Seawright Curry died before 1850.

     James Seawright Curry Jr. was born circa 1812 at Guernsey Co., OH.¹ He was the son of James Seawright Curry and Elizabeth (?) James Seawright Curry Jr. married Lavinia Finley, daughter of William O. Finley and Rebecca Wendell, on 22 December 1833 at Guernsey Co., OH. James Seawright Curry Jr. lived in 1840 at Millwood Twp., Guernsey Co., OH.² He married Eliza Pierce Wheatley on 9 November 1847 at Guernsey Co., OH. James Seawright Curry Jr. lived on 4 October 1850 at Lawrence Co., IL.¹ He lived on 11 June 1860 at P.O. Renssalaer, Jordan Twp., Jasper Co., IN, farming.³ He died after 11 June 1860 at Jasper Co. (probably), IN, A will has reportedly been found for James Curry dated 9 FEB 1850, which seems very early since he clearly lived until after the 1860 census.      Sgt. James Stephen Curry was born on 18 February 1952. He was the son of James Albert Curry Jr. and Nancy Ellen Ritchhart. Sgt. James Stephen Curry began military service Vietnam War service. He died on 2 April 1987 at age 35

James S. Curry, 35, of Lincoln, a travel agent in Chicago, died at 4:15AM at his home, Apr 2, 1987. His funeral will be at 1 PM Saturday t Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, in Lincoln. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Curry was born Feb 18, 1952 in Lincoln, Ill., son of James A. "Bud" and Nancy E. Ritchhart Curry.

Later censuses and other information show 1858, however the earliest census, with information from one or both of her parents, is considered the best evidence, especially in light of the apparent conflict of 1858 with her younger brother Jasper's age as of April 1860. June C. Cook, age 94, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2010 at the Ogden Manor Nursing Home in Ogden, Iowa.

June was born on June 2, 1916 in Yell Township, Boone County, Iowa, the daughter of George William and Laura Bertha (Thompson) Curry. She attended school in Ogden.

On December 7, 1941, she married Carl Mercer Cook in Chillicothe, Missouri. The couple lived in Des Moines, Iowa. June attended the Four C's Business College for one year. June was a bookkeeper for Lambert Dairy of Des Moines in the 1950's and 60's for 10 years.

June was a member of the United Brethren Church in Des Moines, and was active in the P.T.A. Her hobbies were arts and crafts and she enjoyed embroidery.

June is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl and her 6 sisters.

June is survived by her son, Edward A. Schierholz and his wife Sharon of Leesburg, Florida; 2 grandchildren, Sharon Renee Wilson and husband, Greg of Wilmington, Delaware and Neil Edward Schierholz and partner, Tim Hall of Petaluma, California; her 2 great grandchildren, Emily Renee Wilson and Ryan Gregory Wilson of Wilmington, Delaware; her sister Goldi Hughes of Boone, Iowa and 6 nephews and 1 niece.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, November 15, 2010 in the Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden. Rev. Paul Evans will officiate.

     Kathleen Curry was born circa 1942 at Pennsylvania.¹ She was the daughter of George Donald Curry and Grace Evangeline Forrest. Kathleen Curry died; No public record found after the 1950 census listing. A Social Security Applications and Claims Index and also the matching Death Index record exists for a Kathleen Curry born 9 APR 1942 and died 12 FEB 1970 in Pennsylvania. The 1950 census page on which the George and Grace Curry family is listed is dated 10 APR 1950, when their daughter Kathleen would have been age 8, by one day, if she was the individual with the foregoing Social Security records.      Kay Lucretia Curry was born on 27 January 1939 at Jefferson, Greene Co., IA. She was the daughter of Earl Sumner Curry and Ethel May Nelson. Kay Lucretia Curry married Robert Leroy Barnard, son of LeRoy Harry Barnard and Helen G. King, in 1958. Kay Lucretia Curry died on 14 August 2003 at age 64. She was buried in August 2003 at Junction Township Cemetery, Grand Junction, Greene Co., IA, Findagrave #40455611.

     Keith Wallace Curry was born on 25 July 1922 at Prophetstown, Whiteside Co., IL.¹ He was the son of Taylor Rigg Curry and Charlotte Marcella Lindberg.¹ Keith Wallace Curry began military service in 1942 WW II service, U.S. Navy, enlisted. Age 93, of New Hope, died suddenly and unexpectedly April 5. Born July 25, 1922 in Prophetstown, IL to Taylor Rigg Curry and Marcella Charlotte Lindberg Curry.

Keith grew up in the small town of Prophetstown surrounded by the love and support of a large extended family. Despite being hard hit by the Depression, his family found the positives in the world and Keith never realized they were poor. Patriotic but always practical, Keith chose to enlist in the Navy in 1942 because he wanted to sleep in a dry bed in case he went to war. He became a F6F Hellcat pilot assigned to the carrier USS Belleau Wood in the Western Pacific. He logged 90 carrier landings and received many medals and citations for his combat service, including the Distinguished Flying Cross.

Once discharged, Keith returned to Illinois and met Lois Watt on a blind date. It was love at first sight and they married August 10, 1946. Their loving marriage lasted for 69 years until Lois' death last August. They lived in married student housing while Keith went to Purdue on the GI Bill. After graduating in 1949 with a degree in chemical engineering, he worked for 39 years in the titanium and aluminum industries starting in R&D and ending as plant manager. During his career he was involved in many space-race projects for the military and NASA.

Keith and Lois moved many times (West Lafayette, IN, Bowling Green and Steubenville, OH; Henderson, NV; LaGrange, GA; Sunset Beach, NC; Sun City, AZ; Muskegon, MI and finally Minnesota). In each town, Keith was active in community service and served as President or a Board member in nearly every organization he joined - PTA, Community Chest, Kiwanis, Rotary, Steubenville Chamber of Commerce, Sales and Executive Club, two country clubs, Airport Advisory Committee and was instrumental in setting up the curriculum of the newly formed Jefferson County (Ohio) Tech School. He was a proud Mason and Shriner.

Keith loved life and it loved him back. He was kind, romantic, wise, a hard worker and a gentleman. He remained physically fit and engaged his entire life. He enjoyed good food, college basketball (especially Purdue), a good joke, reading and was always Mr. Social. His greatest joy was his family -- especially his beloved Lois. He was a man of many talents: story teller, whistler, puzzler, excellent golfer, gardener, poker player, pickle maker and sock darner. Keith was extremely proud of his kids and grandkids and would talk about them to whoever would listen. We were honored to have him as our Dad and Grandfather and are grateful for the many life-lessons we learned from him: he taught us how to fold paper hats, how to read a map, how to body-surf, about the night sky and to reach for the stars. The two most important things this amazing man taught us was that we were put on earth to give back by serving others and that love of family matters most.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents brother, Kenneth, sisters Doris Ann and Dianne and wife, Lois. He is survived by daughter Dianne Fenyk (John) of Golden Valley, sons Douglas Curry (Laura) of Rapid River, MI and James Curry (Nancy) of Kalamazoo, MI; grandchildren, Heather Fenyk (Alex Zakrewsky), Juliet Fenyk (Todd Belladeau), Taylor and Sydney Curry, Sara Pfeil (Nathaniel), Erin Belanger (Ted) and Keith Curry; great granddaughters, Maya Fenyk, Sophia & Sage Bilaldeau, Brooklynn Pfeil and sister, Dorothy Rush.

Kenneth L. Curry of Owensboro died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at his home. He was born Feb. 1, 1924, in Prophetstown, Ill., to the late Marcella and Taylor Curry . He was a veteran of World War II serving four years in the Navy. Most of that time was aboard the LST 608 in the South Pacific and finally in the invasion of Japan. After his military service, he attended Illinois State University in Normal, Ill. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in chemistry June 13, 1949, and married Virginia on June 18, 1949, in Peoria, Ill.

He has one brother, Keith Curry , and a sister Dorothy Rush living; and two other sisters, Doris Brumbly and Diane Smith, who are both deceased.

They had six sons, David, Daniel, Dirck, Kenneth and Kevin, all living, and Denis deceased. He had 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He returned to ISU after teaching one year to get his master's degree. After this he became chief chemist for Corn Products Refining Co. in Pekin, Ill., where he worked for 34 years before retiring in 1983.

He loved camping with the family and was a master gardener and house renovator. His sons learned from him and constantly thank him for what they learned in gardening and renovation of homes.

He was active in the American Chemical Society, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He and Virginia are members of St. Stephen Cathedral in Owensboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to St. Stephen Cathedral Renovation Fund in Kenneth 's name.

He was cremated and the funeral will be at 12:05 p.m. Saturday at St. Stephen Cathedral. His remains will be returned to Normal for burial. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

He was cremated in 2013.

     Kyle Malingthen Curry was born on 2 October 1857 at Heyworth, McLean Co., IL.¹ He was the son of George William Curry and Maria Sarah Irwin.¹ Kyle Malingthen Curry married Edith Mae Fiscus, daughter of John Fiscus and Elizabeth H. Turner, on 13 September 1885 at McLean Co., IL. Kyle Malingthen Curry lived on 6 June 1900 at Sugar Creek Twp., Boone Co., IA.² He lived on 2 February 1920 at Grant Twp., Greene Co., IA.³ He died on 24 February 1945 at Ogden, Boone Co., IA, at age 87.      Kyle Melanthon Curry was born circa 1837 at Guernsey Co., OH.¹ He was the son of James Seawright Curry Jr. and Lavinia Finley.¹ Kyle Melanthon Curry married Mary Elizabeth Brown on 14 March 1875 at Mason Co., IL. LELIA BELLE CURRY GAVE MUCH OF THIS INFO TO HER DAUGHTER, ROSALIND JEANNE PELLIKAAN WHEN THEY WORKED ON THEIR FAMILY TREE IN 1989:

Lelia Belle Curry's mother died when she was 21 months old. First, she and her brother and sister were cared for by housekeepers. Then they were sent to an Amish place in Mt. Carmel, Ill, for a time.

When Lelia was 7 years old (1937), she and her siblings were taken to Lincoln, Ill. to the Odd Fellows Home. She graduated from Lincoln Community High School May 29,1948. Lelia met her future husband at a YMCA dance she attended on April 21, 1949 while he was stationed at Chanute Air Force Base. Lelia married Gerald Roland Pellikaan in Clarksville, Pike Co., Mo, on Aug. 20, 1949. Her father-in-law, Carl Roland Pellikaan, took her to Wellston to buy her a light blue, dotted-Swiss dress for the wedding. She helped his parents in their cafe while he continued his training in the Air Force. On Feb. 14, 1951, the couple had a son, James Roland Pellikaan. In June, 1951, they went to Chanute AFB in Ill. In Sept., 1951, they went to Carswell AFB in Texas. When Gerald was discharged from the Air Force in Aug. 1952 from Chanute AFB in Ill., the couple went to St. Louis, Mo. He worked at McDonnel Aircraft and they lived in St. Ann, Mo., a suburb. On Nov. 24, 1952, they had a daughter, Rosalind Jeanne Pellikaan.

In 1953, the family moved to Annada, Pike Co., Mo., a farming community. In Nov. 1954 they moved to Clarksville, Mo., where Gerald Ran an appliance store with his father. Their son, James Roland, suffered from a kidney disease and died on Dec. 30, 1955. They moved from an apartment on Front Street to a new home built on the hill behind the Ed Hawkin's home. Then they moved to a two-story house in town.

Lelia moved with her daughter, Rosalind, to Elsberry, Lincoln Co., Mo., for one month in 1961, then moved to Louisiana, Pike Co. Mo., where Rosalind attended school (3rd grade) until Jan. 1962. On May 21, 1962 Gerald and Lelia officially divorced. Lelia and Rosalind moved back to Clarksville after the school year ended (June 1962). They lived in an apartment on Front Street until Lelia bought a mobile home in Feb. 1964. Lelia worked for Duvall's Restaurant 3 years and in 1965 opened her own Beauty Shop. She ran the shop about 6 years. After closing the shop, Lelia worked in the Clarksville Apple Shed one fall and then at a local restaurant called The Dam Place, for 3 years. In 1976 she moved to Louisiana, Mo. where she worked for Lynn, Inc. 3 years. She moved to Illinois for a month and then to Bowling Green, Pike Co., Mo. on Dec. 13, 1979. She worked at the Triple H Beauty Shop in Bowling Green until she had an accident on Feb.1, 1995. Lelia broke her leg and moved from her mobile home to the HiRise Apartments in Bowling Green where she lived until she entered the Elsberry Healthcare Center Aug. 14, 2012 in Elsberry, Lincoln Co., Mo. This was her home for 8 years until her death Oct. 2, 2020 at the age of 90.

She was buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Clarksville, Pike Co., Mo.


OBITUARY OF LELIA BELLE CURRY

Elsberry, Pike Co., Mo.--Lelia B. Curry, 90, died Friday, Oct 2, 2020, at Elsberry Healthcare Center in Elsberry, Mo. Ms. Curry was born April 8, 1930, in Prophetstown, Ill., to James Albert Curry, Sr. and Irene Althea Bull Curry.

She is survived by a daughter, Rosalind Jeanne Pellikaan of Troy, Mo., 3 nephews, Greg (Lisa) Curry, Jeff (Jackie) Curry, and Robert Curry, as well as one niece, Janet Sue (Roger) Alsup, all of Lincoln, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Norma Jeanne Curry, a brother, James Albert Curry, Jr. (Bud), and son, James Roland Pellikaan.

Ms. Curry was raised at IOOF Children's Home in Lincoln, Ill., from 1937-1948. She participated in sextets and octets. The advanced choir received awards for their performances in several competitions. She received second place in the state for an alto vocal performance sung in German. Because of her efforts, Ms. Curry was awarded a three-day, all-expense paid trip to the Chicago Music Festival at Wrigley Field and was able to visit other tourist attractions.

She graduated from LCHS in 1948 and was the vice president of her class. She was a choir member of the Clarksville First Christian Church under the direction of the late Mrs. A.W. Luke. Ms. Curry was a full licensed cosmetologist for 25 years and served a one-year apprenticeship under Mrs. Eileen Hobkirk Akers in Clarksville, Mo. She was employed by the Triple H Beauty Shop in Bowling Green for 16 years. She retired from hairdressing in February, 1996. Her lifelong interests were music, reading biographies of presidents, genealogy, baking and embroidery work.

She was buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville, Mo.

Collier Funeral Homes in Louisiana, Mo., was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation in memory of her son, James Roland Pellikaan.

     Lena Mabel Curry was born on 25 October 1894 at Ellsworth, McLean Co., IL.¹ She was the daughter of James Albert Curry and Emma Isadora Rigg.¹ Lena Mabel Curry was graduated; Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa. She married Millard Blair, son of James Rufus Blair and Permelia Caroline Davis, circa 1914. Lena Mabel Curry lived in 1920 at Prophetstown, Whiteside Co., IL, with her parents, after Millard had died in 1919. She married Charles Travis Sibley on 7 April 1925. Lena Mabel Curry lived in 1958 at Tampa, Hillsborough Co., FL. She died on 1 January 1985 at Tampa, Hillsborough Co., FL, at age 90. She was buried in January 1985 at Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown, Whiteside Co., IL.

     Lilly Christina Curry was born on 15 June 1896 at Boone Co., IA.¹ She was the daughter of John Riley Curry and Augusta Sophia Anderson.¹ Lilly Christina Curry married Allan Jay Curran on 1 February 1947 at District of Columbia, no children. Lilly Christina Curry died in January 1976 at age 79. She was buried in 1976 at Linwood Park Cemetery, Boone, Boone Co., IA, Findagrave #85200561.

     Loren Wayne Curry was born on 31 July 1927 at Colfax, McLean Co., IL. He was the son of Norris Curry and Bertha B. Hess. Loren Wayne Curry married Maribel Camp, daughter of Samuel Arthur Camp and Madge Ella Crane, on 26 October 1947 at Bloomington, McLean Co., IL. COLFAX (PNS) -- L. Wayne Curry, 53, died at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday at Brokaw Hospital, Normal. He had been ill.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Colfax United Methodist Church, the Rev. Dorotha Russell officiating. Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax and an hour before the service at the church.

He was born July 31, 1927, at Colfax, a son of Norris and Bertha Hess Curry. He married Maribel Camp Oct. 26, 1947, at Bloomington. She survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Paula Keith, Wiesbaden, Germany; Laura Culbertson, Hilltop Mobile Home Court, Bloomington; and Tamara Peifer, R.R. 3, Bloomington; his mother, Fairbury; a sister, Eileen Harris, Fairbury; and a grand-daughter.

His father preceded him in death.

Mr. Curry was a self-employed heavy equipment contractor for 15 years and a milk carrier for 17 years. He also was Martin Township road commissioner for 18 years.

He was a lifetime Colfax resident and a member of the Davis Kerber American Legion Post.

Loyal Eugene Curry lived between 1980 and 2020 at Pompano Beach, Broward Co., FL. He died on 27 October 2002 at age 70 per SSDI, last residence Pompano Beach.

     Lynn Marie Curry was born at Springfield, Sangamon Co., IL. She was the daughter of James Richard Curry.
