Services for Norma Jeanne Curry of Elsberry were held at 2PM Tuesday in Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, Elsberry. The Rev. Terry Gallamore officiated with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery.

Miss Curry, 57, died Dec. 23, 1988, in Lincoln Co. Memorial Hospital, Troy. Born May 4, 1931, in Prophetstown, Ill., she was the daughter of the late James Albert Curry,Sr., and Irene Althea Bull Curry. Miss Curry was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, Local No. 494, Elsberry, and worked at Ron Herren Corp. in Elsberry.

Survivors include one sister, Lelia Curry of Bowling Green; one brother, James Albert Curry, Jr. of Lincoln, Ill; grandmother, Mrs. Betty Bull of Sterling, Ill., and a special friend, Jewell Crump of Elsberry.

Paula C. Keith

Paula Curry Keith, age 36 of Rantoul and formerly of Colfax, died at 6:45 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 1989 at her home.

Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Colfax United Methodist Church, the Reverend Dan Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery, Colfax.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Duffy-Pils Memorial Home in Colfax and one hour prior to the services at the church Thursday.

She was born May 5, 1953 in Bloomington, a daughter of Loren Wayne and Maribel Camp Curry. She married Peter L. Keith on October 7, 1976 in Freeport and he survives in Rantoul.

Also surviving are her mother of Bloomington; one daughter, Erin at home, two stepdaughters, Valorie and Amy Keith of Rockford; and two sisters, Laura Culbertson, Bloomington and Tamara Peifer of rural Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Mrs. Keith was a member of the and graduated from Eastern Illinois University in August 1988.

She was employed by Taylor Publishing in Dallas for nine years as a yearbook representative. She taught swimming and Red Cross/life guard training for several years.

Cause of death: cancer. She was buried in December 1989 at Wiley Cemetery, Colfax, McLean Co., IL, Findagrave #14883554.

Sylvester N. Curry

ELLSWORTH. -- Sylvester N. Cuyrr (sic), 85, died at 6:05 a.m. Sunday at St. Joseph's hospital. The body was taken to the Beck Memorial home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Methodist church in Ellsworth. Interment will be in Frankeberger cemetery.

He was born Jan. 14, 1861, the son of George W. and Mariah Irwin Curry. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Riddle April 27, 1884. She died in 1904. He served for many years as highway commissioner of Arrowsmith Township and was a member of the Sangamon school board.

Surviving are three sons, Clifton, Jefferson, Ia; Clyde C. and Norris, Colfax; two daughters, Mrs. Gussie Brown, of California and Mrs. Harry Marquardt, 1107 Fell avenue, Bloomington, with whom he made his home; one brother, John R. Curry, Boone, Ia; one sister, Mrs. Arthur McCullom, Grand Junction, Ia; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Ellsworth Methodist church and of the IOOF lodge.

He was buried in 1946 at Frankeberger Cemetery, Ellsworth, McLean Co., IL, Findagrave #9523169.

Vivian I. Harrison

Services for Mrs. Vivian I. Harrison of Springfield will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bisch Memorial Home, with Dr. Charles Hendricks officiating. Burial will be in Chatham Cemetery.

Mrs. Harrison, 67, died at 8:50 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Hospital.

Surviving are her father, William Albert Curry of Springfield, three sons, Richard, Dennis, and Gary, all of Springfield, four daughters, Sue Hayes, Marilyn Johnson, Phyllis Harrison, and Becky Ochs, all of Springfield. 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and two nieces.

She was buried in February 1988 at Chatham Community Cemetery, Chatham, Sangamon Co., IL, Findagrave #29321974.
