LILLIAN DeLANCEY DUNN DIES ALBANY HOME

Mrs. Lillian Delancey Dunn, 32, wife of Donald Dunn died Sunday morning at the family home in Sunrise.

Mrs. Dunn was born at Laurel, Cedar County, Nebraska, May 16, 1896, and had been a resident of Albany most of the time since 1905. She was united in marriage here March 11, 1916. Beside her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Lillian Jean, six years old, and two brothers, H. L. DeLancey of Page, Nebraska, and C. G. DeLancey of Gordon, Nebraska and four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Phillips of North Albany, Mrs. Jessie Bock of Aberdeen, Wash., Mrs. Ethel Peebler of Indio, Calif., and Mrs. Bertha Messersmith of Scotia, Nebraska, and many other relatives here.

Mrs. Dunn had been ill for over two years, and was noted for her patience in suffering and was a devoted wife and mother.

She had been in California for her health for some time and returned home in December. She was formerly employed at the Albany telephone office.

Funeral services were held at the Fisher-Braden chapel, Tuesday afternoon, Dr. D. H. Leech officiating. Pall bearers were Elmer Williamson, Earl Scott, W. V. Merrill, Earl Pollock, Roscoe Ames and Deo McClain.

Interment was in the Riverside cemetery.

     Louie Winnie Delancey was born on 20 April 1883 at Cedar Co., NE.¹ She was the daughter of Lawson Walter Delancey and Sarah Jane Philbrick. Louie Winnie Delancey died on 13 January 1901 at Cedar Co., NE, at age 17. Cause of death: Suicide. Local residents report that she became pregnant with a farm hand and may have suffered criticism and shunning by her family and neighbors. Her father's 1913 death certificate shows the cause of his death as "Melancholia". Alse see the inscription on her headstone.

William Danford, son of Samuel Danford and Nancy Matheney, on 10 March 1836 at Seneca Twp., Monroe Co., OH. Margaret Delancey died on 8 August 1896 at Monroe Co., OH, at age 78. She was buried in August 1896 at Glady Valley M.E. Church Cemetery, Monroe Co., OH.

     Margaret Delancey was born on 13 March 1846 at Morgan (now Noble) Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of Stephen Delancey and Amanda Haga. Margaret Delancey married Franklin B. Withers, son of Robert Bently Withers and Margaret Scott, on 5 October 1870 at Linn Co., IA. Margaret Delancey lived in 1906 at Inez, Holt Co., NE. She died on 25 May 1911 at Norfolk, Madison Co., NE, at age 65. She was buried in May 1911 at Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Marion Twp., Linn Co., IA, Findagrave #53203131.

Delancey lived on 9 April 1930 at Verdigris Twp., Holt Co., NE, teacher, public schools. She married Robert Edward Lee Young after May 1943, Robert was first married to Nellie A. Morris in 1926, and is found in the 1930 and 1940 censuses, Denver, with daughters Norma Jean and Roberta. Nellie passed in MAY 1943 and was buried 19 MAY 1943 at Fairmount Cemetery, Denver.

Melba L. Delancey died on 22 April 1968 at Denver, CO, at age 58.

     Moses Delancey was born on 25 March 1790 at Pennsylvania. He was the son of Phillip Delancey and Margaret Starr. Moses Delancey married Ann Bryan on 23 June 1814 at Guernsey Co., OH. Moses Delancey died on 8 September 1876 at Noble Co., OH, at age 86. He was buried in September 1876 at Williamson Cemetery, Noble Co., OH.
