     Bertha Delaney was the daughter of John Delaney and Martha Bennett.¹ Bertha Delaney married William C. Frederick, son of Peter M. Frederick and Mary P. Cassel, in June 1906, No children as of 1930 census.¹

     Clara Elsa DeLaney was born in 1883. She married Calvin M. Harrell. Clara Elsa DeLaney died in 1963. She was buried in 1963 at Orchard Hill Cemetery, Louisville, Clay Co., IL, Findagrave #24632354.

Mrs. Gorman to Lead VFW Unit

SANTA MONICA -- Mrs. Edwin A. Gorman again will serve as president of the Woman's Auxiliary the Santa Monica VFW Post.

Installation ceremonies are scheduled for April 19 at the post's headquarters, 2208 Pico Blvd.? ? Also elected to serve a second term were Mmes. Eugene Rietz, senior vice-president; Trueworth Willard, treasurer; Shannon Harkey, guard, and Byron Forsyth, secretary.

     Wesley Augustus Delaney was born on 12 December 1899 at Little Rock, Pulaski Co., AR, WW II draft registration. He married Mary D. Cameron, daughter of Andrew Dickson Cameron and Verna Abbey Wagner, in 1924, This marriage appears to have ended before the 1940 census was taken. In 1940 she is found living alone, still using her married name, at Falls City, Nebraska, while her daughter Deborah was with Mary's parents. Wesley is not found in the 1940 census but was living at Boston in 1942 when he submitted his WW II draft registration, and gave another person's name as the one who would know where he was.¹

Wesley Augustus Delaney lived on 2 July 1932 at 6039 Kenmore Avenue, Chicago, Cook Co., IL, passengers list of the ship Bremen, arrived at Port of New York, from Cherbourg, 2 JUL 1932. He lived on 16 February 1942 at Boston, Suffolk Co., MA, WW II draft registration, gave his next-of-kin as Mrs. Edward Benhel, St. Louis, MO. He died in April 1965 at age 65.

     Anne Delano was the daughter of Samuel Ervin Delano. Anne Delano married Elliott Gayle.

     Louisa May Delano was born on 3 April 1874 at Fairfield Twp., Lenawee Co., MI. She was the daughter of Myron Daniel Delano and Julia Ann Wormwood.¹ Louisa May Delano married Marion A. Goodrich. Louisa May Delano died on 9 January 1950 at Oakland Co., MI, at age 75.

     Myron Daniel Delano was born on 2 December 1844 at Fairfield, Lenawee Co., MI. He was the son of William S. Delano and Mercy Jane Baker. Myron Daniel Delano married Julia Ann Wormwood, daughter of Henry Wormwood and Roxanna McNutt, on 27 August 1866. Myron Daniel Delano died on 28 October 1927 at Adrian, Lenawee Co., MI, at age 82.

     Samuel Ervin Delano was born on 14 December 1854.

     William S. Delano was born on 20 June 1826 at Watertown, Jefferson Co., NY. He married Mercy Jane Baker on 7 March 1844 at Fairfield, Lenawee Co., MI. William S. Delano died on 27 August 1863 at Fairfield Twp., Lenawee Co., MI, at age 37.
