Daughter of William Denning Sr. and Mary Jane (Molly) Pike-Denning. She married Lance Rogers from Scranton, Kansas on Oct 17, 1925 in Carroll County, Missouri. She had four children, loosing an infant son at birth. She moved to Auburn, Illinois in 1926 and she and her husband Laance "Tip" Rogers opened a Barbershop on the east side of the square in Auburn. Two of her children Phyllis and Donald were born in the living quarters behind the shop. Grace was a life long resident in Auburn and had many friends.

Mrs. Grace A. Rogers, 74, of 512 No.6th, Auburn, died at 7 a.m. Sunday, June 5 at the residence of her daughter in Pawnee.

She was born in Richmond, Mo. the daughter of William and Mary Pike Denning. She was married Oct 17, 1925 in Carrollton Mo. to Lance (Tip) Rogers. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1950. She was also preceded in death by one son. Lance; one sister Mary Kraft and three brothers, John, William and Irvin. Mrs. Rogers was a member of Auburn Nazarene Church and a 52 year resident of Auburn. She retired as housekeeper from St. John's School of Nursing in 1964 after 10 years of service.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Isabelle) Pocotti of Pawnee and Mrs. Ralph (Phyllis) White of Auburn; two sisters Mrs. Brack (Rose) Johnson of Richmond, Mo. and Mrs. Floyd (Mattie) Manley of Kansas City, Mo. eight brothers George Denning of Belleville Kan, and Charles Denning of Richmond, Mo; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 7 at Auburn Nazarene Church. Rev. Larry Gallaher officiated. Burial was in Auburn Cemetery. Berry Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

She was buried in June 1977 at Auburn Cemetery, Auburn, Sangamon Co., IL, Findagrave #16352699.

Mrs. R. Field (Dorothy D.) Crosby, of 475 Grove Ave., died at her home Thursday after a lengthy illness.

A member of the First Church of Christ Scientist and Tri Kappa Sorority, she was born in New York City and was a daughter of George and Marian (Wakefield) Dennis.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Marian Eason of Gallatin, Tenn., and Marjorie Dickmeyer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
There will be no service or visitation. The body will be cremated. Bartholomew Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
