The complaint stated that the couple was married in Pasadena on June 22, 1920, and that there are no children. A property settlement was made out of court. MacMillan was appointed State Corporation Commissioner in September, 1928 by ex-Governor Richardson, succeeding Edwin M. Daugherty, who had resigned.

The Rev. Neil Winslow officiated at a double-ring ceremony following musical numbers by Don Owen and Jim Herndon.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of embroidered tulle, the fitted bodice featuring a portrait neckline edged in lace, brief sleeves and a bouffant skirt fashioned with nine tiers of embroidered tulle terminating in a fan shaped train. The tiered veil of imported French illusion fell to fingertip length from a tiara of seed pearls and iridescent sequins. The bride carried white sweetheart roses with shower of lilies-of-the valley.

The bride's attendants were her sister, Mrs. Denny Bishop of Houston and the bridegroom's sister, Miss Cheryl Harger of Lubbock. They wore royal blue street-length peau de soie dresses made with scoop necklines, cap sleeves and fitted with pearl trim and carried stylized arrangements of white pompons.
Dennis Frank Bishop of Houston was best man and the bride's brother, Ronnie Dowdy, was groomsman. Guests were seated by C. H. Dowdy Jr. and Tommy Thompson and Donald Scheverak of Houston.
Following the reception in Fellowship Hall, the couple left for a trip to Corpus Christi, the bride traveling in a navy blue silk suit with matching accessories and a corsage of white roses.
Mrs. Harger, a former student at Midwestern university in this city, received a BBA degree from the University of Houston. She was presented as a Junior Forum debutante in Wichita Falls.
Her husband attended Tom S. Lubbock High School and graduated from Schreiner Institute, Kerrville. He is a member of the university basketball team.

Joyce L. Harris, 61, of Mineral Wells, went home to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ on March 5, 2011, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
She was born in Parkersburg, the daughter of Lester Frank and Betty Maxine Caltrider Dowler.
Joyce had worked for St. Joseph's Hospital as a Surgical Technician for 28 years. Joyce was a dedicated hard worker and an amazing cook. She was the owner of The Windmill Restaurant for 14 years which had locations in Parkersburg, Vienna, DuPont, G.E. and Mid-Ohio Valley Medical Group.
Joyce was an outstanding and loving wife, mother, grandmother and was a special friend to many. The things in life that she enjoyed most were Cameron's athletics, teaching Mallory how to cook and watching Taylor in Color Guard. She enjoyed going to Amish Country and four-wheeling. She was a 4-H leader for over 30 years with Saulsbury 4-H Club and was Outstanding Leader of the Year in 1995 as well as a 4-H All Star. She was President of the Mineral Wells Community Building and cooked at many 4-H camps. She and her husband Ed had hosted Fourth of July picnics for Dove Creek and the Mineral Wells area for the past 27 years. She was a member of Calvary Memorial Church and volunteered in the nursery, taught Sunday school, volunteered in children church and church musicals. She was able to live out her dream in December 2010 which was to take her children and grandchildren to Disney World. Joyce was a giving and generous person in every area of her life with family and friends, her last act of giving was to donate her eyes so that someone else may see. Her faith and strength throughout her sickness never wavered as she continued to be an inspiration to everyone.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her loving husband, Ed Harris of Mineral Wells; her daughters, Jody Harris, Rebecca Marks and husband, Rod, and Lindsey Harris, all of Mineral Wells; her grandchildren, Taylor Nicole Marks, Cameron Harris Marks and Mallory Grace Marks of Mineral Wells; her sister, Jeanne Phillips and husband, Rusty, of Parkersburg; her brothers, Terry Dowler and wife, Kay, and Tim Dowler and wife, Tina, both of Parkersburg; her sister-in-law, Donna Dowler and husband, Floyd, of Parkersburg; brother-in-law, Don Harris and wife, Pam. of Texas; and her dog, "Billie Jo."
She was preceded in death by her father-and mother-in-law, Gay and Maxine Harris; her special sister-in-law, Betty Crites; her paternal grandparents, William and Dora Dowler; her maternal grandparents, Carroll and Ora Caltrider; and her cat, "Tigger."
A celebration of Joyce's life will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Memorial Church, Wayside Farm Road off of East Seventh Street, with Pastor Rob Collins and Darren Crites officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Mineral Wells. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday at Calvary Memorial Church and Tuesday from noon until service time.

Joyce L. Harris, 61, of Mineral Wells, went home to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ on March 5, 2011, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
She was born in Parkersburg, the daughter of Lester Frank and Betty Maxine Caltrider Dowler.
Joyce had worked for St. Joseph's Hospital as a Surgical Technician for 28 years. Joyce was a dedicated hard worker and an amazing cook. She was the owner of The Windmill Restaurant for 14 years which had locations in Parkersburg, Vienna, DuPont, G.E. and Mid-Ohio Valley Medical Group.
Joyce was an outstanding and loving wife, mother, grandmother and was a special friend to many. The things in life that she enjoyed most were Cameron's athletics, teaching Mallory how to cook and watching Taylor in Color Guard. She enjoyed going to Amish Country and four-wheeling. She was a 4-H leader for over 30 years with Saulsbury 4-H Club and was Outstanding Leader of the Year in 1995 as well as a 4-H All Star. She was President of the Mineral Wells Community Building and cooked at many 4-H camps. She and her husband Ed had hosted Fourth of July picnics for Dove Creek and the Mineral Wells area for the past 27 years. She was a member of Calvary Memorial Church and volunteered in the nursery, taught Sunday school, volunteered in children church and church musicals. She was able to live out her dream in December 2010 which was to take her children and grandchildren to Disney World. Joyce was a giving and generous person in every area of her life with family and friends, her last act of giving was to donate her eyes so that someone else may see. Her faith and strength throughout her sickness never wavered as she continued to be an inspiration to everyone.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her loving husband, Ed Harris of Mineral Wells; her daughters, Jody Harris, Rebecca Marks and husband, Rod, and Lindsey Harris, all of Mineral Wells; her grandchildren, Taylor Nicole Marks, Cameron Harris Marks and Mallory Grace Marks of Mineral Wells; her sister, Jeanne Phillips and husband, Rusty, of Parkersburg; her brothers, Terry Dowler and wife, Kay, and Tim Dowler and wife, Tina, both of Parkersburg; her sister-in-law, Donna Dowler and husband, Floyd, of Parkersburg; brother-in-law, Don Harris and wife, Pam. of Texas; and her dog, "Billie Jo."
She was preceded in death by her father-and mother-in-law, Gay and Maxine Harris; her special sister-in-law, Betty Crites; her paternal grandparents, William and Dora Dowler; her maternal grandparents, Carroll and Ora Caltrider; and her cat, "Tigger."
A celebration of Joyce's life will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Memorial Church, Wayside Farm Road off of East Seventh Street, with Pastor Rob Collins and Darren Crites officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Mineral Wells. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday at Calvary Memorial Church and Tuesday from noon until service time.
