Homer Leroy Easterday died on 12 January 1961 at Massillon, Stark Co., OH, at age 61. He was buried at West Lawn Cemetery, Canton, Stark Co., OH.

     Charles Logan Easterheld was born on 5 January 1887 at Cowley Co. (probably), KS, WW I draft registration shows 1885. However, (A) his sister Myrtle was born and died during 1885, as evidenced by her headstone, and (B) both the 1895 and the 1905 Kansas censuses of Cowley County are consistent with 1887 birth year, and (C) he is listed on the 1900 census, living in the household of his brother William, and the year of birth is clearly 1887. Given the loss of his parents when he was young, one can imagine it was important to qualify for military service as early as feasible -- he was already in the Navy by April, 1910. DLB 2017.^1,2 He was the son of Henry Easterheld and Matilda Talitha Windell. Occupation: Sailor on USS Buffalo on 6 May 1910.² Charles Logan Easterheld died on 21 January 1924 at age 37. He was buried in January 1924 at Tannehill Cemetery, Arkansas City, Cowley Co., KS, Findagrave #68850002.

Henry Easterheld married Matilda Talitha Windell, daughter of Samuel Windell and Sarah Elizabeth Eustis, on 4 July 1867 at Sioux City, Woodbury Co., IA. Henry Easterheld died on 13 February 1894 at Cowley Co., KS, at age 65. He was buried in February 1894 at Tannehill Cemetery, Arkansas City, Cowley Co., KS, Findagrave #25223410.

     Elsie Frances Easterling was born on 17 October 1921 at Clio, Barbour Co., AL. She was the daughter of Willie B. Easterling and Eula Verine Mooneyham. Elsie Frances Easterling married Donald Alexander Faulhaber, son of Alex Louis Faulhaber and Christina Bena Jensen, on 25 May 1951. Elsie Frances Easterling died on 7 February 1994 at Huntington Beach, Orange Co., CA, at age 72.

Dr. J. P. Easterly was born in Greene County, May 6, 1839, the son of Jacob and Margaret (Whittenburg) Easterly, both natives of Greene County, the former a farmer, born in 1802, and deceased in June, 1883. Jacob, Sr., the next ancestor, a Virginian, was a pioneer of Cocke County. The mother was born in 1803 and died in 1854, the daughter of William Whittenburg, of Greene County. Our subject was educated in Emory and Henry College, Virginia, and in 1864 began reading medicine under Dr. B. F. Bell, now of Cocke County. He began practice in 1866 in the county, and has continued eminently successful. He is an extensive farmer also, owning and cultivating 750 acres. May 24, 1866, Louise V., a daughter of David DeVault, of Greene County, became his wife. She was born April 10, 1844, in Greene County. Four of their six children are living. She died February 2. 1887, a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, of which our subject is a local minister.

Dr. Jacob Payne Easterly was born on 6 May 1839 at Greene Co., TN. He was the son of Jacob Easterly and Margaret Whittenburg. Dr. Jacob Payne Easterly was educated; Emory & Henry College. Occupation: Physician, farmer, and Methodist minister after 1866. He married Louise Virginia DeVault, daughter of David DeVault and Mariah Cox, on 22 May 1866 at Greene Co., TN. Dr. Jacob Payne Easterly died on 4 March 1908 at Tennessee at age 68.

     Margaret Ellen Easterly was born in November 1854 at Iowa.¹ She was the daughter of Jonathan Easterly and Sarah Jane McConkie. Margaret Ellen Easterly married Henry B. Harrison, son of Benjamin Harrison and Jane Jeffries, on 2 February 1875 at Rome Twp., Jones Co., IA. Margaret Ellen Easterly died before 1895. She married Manville Tarbox circa 1899.¹
