William died at the County Farm and was listed as age 73 years. His funeral was conducted by Turnbull Funeral home of Monmouth on 29 March 1909, with burial in the County Farm cemetery. His remains were not identified when the cemetery was relocated.
Alms House records show that William was a native of Tennessee, age 68 when admitted on 26 May 1904, and had been a former resident of Monmouth. Those records show that he remained at the home until his death, and that his burial was in the County Farm cemetery.

Frances Isabel Ellison

     Frances Isabel Ellison was born on 23 June 1914 at Union City, Darke Co., OH.1 She married Richard Eugene Clapp, On the 1940 census, Frances and Tina were listed living with Frances' parents in Union City, Ohio, and Richard was not there. On his 16 OCT 1940 WW II draft registration, Richard listed Frances as his "person who will always know your address" and listed her as his wife, but the draft registration was corrected to show that he did not live at the address given for her. Richard and Frances appear to have had a second daughter together, Vickie Lee Clapp, born about 1944 who married Robert Lexa in 1963 and Frederick Winsett in 1965, both in Los Angeles County. Richard later remarried to Edith Irene Eaton (1925-2012) and Frances remarried to John W. Piper in California in 1967. DLB 2020.2 Frances Isabel Ellison died on 30 May 1980 at San Diego Co., CA, at age 65.

     Henson Ellsberry Ellison was also known as "Berry". He was born in 1833 at Roane Co., TN.1 He was the son of James Ellison and Hester Casey. Henson Ellsberry Ellison married Augusta Rose Snapp, daughter of Harrison Galifant Snapp and Emily D. Parry, circa 1855. Henson Ellsberry Ellison died in April 1861 at Forsyth, Taney Co., MO.

S.C. Turnbo's book Fireside Stories in the Early Days of the Ozarks, Volume 1, Page 107, has the following: "Berry Ellison, was a son of Jimmie Ellison, who was a dealer in horses, and owned a few negro slaves. The (Ellison) family were influential and industrious. Berry Ellison was elected Sheriff of Taney County (Missouri), and soon after he had been qualified, and entered upon his duties, he was killed at Forsyth (Missouri) by Jim Massey, an engineer of the steamboat Mary Patterson in April, 1861."

Knott, Gen. John B. Castleman, Judge Randolph Blain, Edwin Whitney, Alex G. Barret and E. Q. Knott.
