Ervan H. Farnsworth, of Appleton, WI and formerly of Grayslake, IL age 87, passed away peacefully with his loving wife of 62 years by his side, where she always could be found. He passed away at 7:34am Tuesday, March 18, 2008. He was born in Kansas, but his heart was always in Grayslake. He was a proud Marine and served and fought for his country in the South Pacific (Tarawa, Iwo Jima, Taipan, Guadacanal). He and his wife Dorothy met at Steinmetz High School and though she won't admit it, it was always love at first sight. Ervan worked at Crystal Print in Appleton until he was 80 years old. He loved the lake and the sound of the oars in the calm of the morning and the echo of a good 3 wood on a dew filled fairway.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his children, Wendy (Larry) Marchel, Wilmot, WI, Dennis (Louise) Farnsworth, Thornton, CO, Scott (Kathy) Farnsworth, Elburn, IL; five grandchildren, Shawn, Laura, Alicia, Rebecca, and Anthony; and two great-grandchildren, Payton and Camden Farnsworth.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Friends of the family may visit on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030. The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 10:30am at the funeral chapel. Interment will follow at Avon Centre Cemetery in Grayslake.

Louis "Ted" Farnsworth Jr., 59, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on Nov. 27, 2013 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio following a courageous battle with Leukemia surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 15, 1954, in West Warwick, Maine, a son of the late Louis and Garnet Sue Casto Farnsworth.
Ted attended Freeport High School in Freeport, Maine. He was previously employed at Empire Foods, Demuth Glass and was a furnace operator at Schott Glass. He enjoyed woodworking, being outside, helping neighbors and keeping his fire pit lit.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years the love of his life, Beth Bush Farnsworth; two sons, Ted (Misty) Farnsworth of Davisville, W.Va. and Chris (Jess) Farnsworth of Parkersburg; two sisters, Debbie (Bob) Turner of Windham, Maine and Kathy (Steve) Kaler of Bath, Maine; six grandchildren, Hannah, Noah, Evan, Emmalee, Lilly and Liam Farnsworth whom he adored and was put on this earth to be the best Papaw that ever could be; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Harry Hanscome of Parkersburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Tim Farnsworth; and one sister, Pamela Thompson.
A celebration of his life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Green St., Parkersburg with Pastor Danny McVey officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Following services there will be a reception at the home of Ted and Beth.
