     Margaret Ellen Fasick was also known as "Maggie". She was born on 25 January 1884 at Ohio. She married Edward Benjamin Fourman on 23 December 1905 at Miami Co., OH. A funeral Mass for Wilford B. Faske, 77, of Starlight, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with burial in the Church cemetery. He died Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, at the Veteran's Administration Hospital, Louisville.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He founded Faske Wood Molding in Starlight in 1963 and ran the company until retirement. He was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Church in Starlight and an avid fisherman and hunter. He was born on May 30, 1931 in London Bridge, Va., to the late Arthur W. and Ada Wood Faske.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, JoAnn McKinley Faske; children, Connie Senn and her husband, Frank, Floyds Knobs, Carol Stephens and her husband, Wayne, Martinsburg, Joe Faske and his wife Karen, Clemmons N. C. and Matthew Faske, Louisville; brothers, James and Raymond "Chub" Faske; sisters, Mary Kreilein and Ann Banet; and grandchildren, Bernadette, Lea, Zach, and Sarah Faske.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Carl Faske.
Visitation will be at Generations Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, from 3 to 8 p.m. today.

     Neel Dean Fauber was born on 11 February 1924 at Ohio. He was the son of Raymond Albert Fauber and Mabel Rebecca Scott.¹ Neel Dean Fauber began military service World War II, U.S. Army Air Force, flew 35 combat missions as a B-24 bomber pilot in Europe; lieutenant colonel and fighter pilot in the Ohio Air National Guard's 179th Tactical Fighter Group at Mansfield-Lahm Airport.

Seven-branch candelabra on either side of the altar on which were two tall standards of white gladioli and palms made a pretty setting for the wedding of Miss Evelyn Newlon and Neel Dean Fauber at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Main Street Methodist church. The bride is the daughter of R. Ray Newlon, 1311 South Washington street and Mr. Fauber is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray A. Fauber of Plymouth, O.
The Rev. Jesse W. Fox performed the single ring ceremony, preceeding which David Drinkwater, organist, played "Clair de Lune," "Oh, Promise Me" and " At Dawning" and Miss Dorothy Hunt sang "Ich Liebe Dich," and "Because." The traditional wedding marches were played for the processional and recessional and "Believe Me If All Those Endearing Young Charms" as the service was read.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, made a lovely picture in her gown of white dotted Swiss. The long bodice, scalloped in front and straight across the back was fininshed with a cut-out sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves. Gathered to the bodice was the trained skirt which was accented by a front panel of ruffles of the material. She wore matching Swiss gloves, scalloped at the top and bottom, a fingertip veil, attached to the dotted Swiss headress, caught on either side with white glads, and a single strand of pearls. Her flowers were an all white bouquet of asters and gladioli, centerd by an orchid.
Miss Glendora Miles appeared in the bridal party as maid of honor, wearing blue dotted Swiss, and Miss Elaine Bowers as bridesmaid, dressed in yellow dotted Swiss. Miss Miles' dress styled like the bride's was marked by a white dotted Swiss ruffle inset and she carried pink gladioli, surrounded with yellow glads, with a center of pink blossoms.
George A. Fort of Cleveland, O., served as best man and Ray Fauber Jr. of Greentown, William Estabrook of Ithaca, N.Y., John Lichtenheld of Elmhurst, Ill., and James Donahue of Alexandria ushered.
Mrs. Fauber, mother of the bridegroom, wore a black crepe skirt, white eyelet embroidered blouse, black accessories and a corsage of gardenias, edge with pink roses.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Fauber greeted their friends at an informal reception at the home of the bride's father following the ceremony. Garden flowers decorated the rooms and the table, covered with white linen, held the wedding cake, garlanded with vari-colored gladioli, crystal holders with white tapers and the crystal punch bowl. Service was in silver and crystal. Mrs. Carl L. Newlon and Mrs. James N. Newlon, sisters-in-laws of the bride, assisted in the dining room.
When the couple left on a motor trip to Mackinac Island, Mich., the bride was wearing a light blue dressmaker suit, shell colored crepe blouse and sheer black straw picture hat, with patent leather accessories. After August 1, they will be at home at 1015 Columbia street, Lafayette.
The bride has been with Grand Adv. Inc., Chicago, as a secretary to the production manager. She was graduated from Kokomo High school with the class of 1942 and is a member of the Psi Iota Xi sorority. Mr. Fauber is a student at Purdue university and a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.

Rotarians Hear NASA Engineer
Mansfield Rotarians yesterday heard an engineer with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) talk about aviation of the near future.
The speaker was Neel Fauber, who works in testing procedures at NASA's Lewis Research Center, Plum Brook Station, located near Sandusky. Fauber, an Ashland native, is a retired lieutenant colonel in the Ohio Air National Guard. He was formerly a fighter pilot attached to the Air Guard's 179th Tactical Fighter Group of Mansfield-Lahm Airport.
A graduate of Purdue University, Fauber has been a NASA engineer since 1962. During World War II, he flew 35 combat missions in Europe, as a pilot of a B-24 bomber.
Fauber briefly described to the Rotary Club members several aviation projects the Lewis Research Center is currently involved with. Among these projects are development of a small, low-cost jet engine; development of quiet jet engines; and development of vertical takeoff and vertical landing jet craft.
He pointed out to the Rotarians that the function fo NASA is "pretty much research and development."
Fauber also candidly remarked, "Research is really another word for stumbling."
The Rotary Club luncheon was held at the Leland Motor Hotel.

Fauber of the Lewis research Center of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration will address the joint meeting of the Tuscarawas Valley Society Professional Engineers and the Canton Regional Society of Professional Engineers. The gathering will be held Wednesday at 6:30 in Bonvechio's. A graduate of Purdue University, Fauber joined NASA in 1961 and is currently project engineer for rehabilitation of Lewis' Engine Research Building.

     Therza Fauber was born circa 1849 at Shenandoah Co., VA.² She was the daughter of Jacob Fauver and Mary Swartz.² Therza Fauber married Obediah Swartz, son of Philip Peter Swartz and Susan Copp, in 1875.¹ Therza Fauber and Obediah Swartz were divorced before April 1910; Obed's marital status on the 1910 census, Chicago, is "D."

Madras resident Myrle LeRoy Faubion died Feb. 23, 2003, at St. Charles Medical Center at the age of 71.

Mr. Faubion was born June 27, 1931, in Cody, Neb., to parents John V. and Lila M. Faubion. He grew up in Orient, Ore., near Gresham, and graduated from Gresham High School in 1950.
He married his high school sweetheart Louise A. Alexander in 1953. In 1958 they moved to Madras, where he started his own Massey Ferguson Tractor Sales and Service. In 1963, they moved to the south end of town and started Faubion and Son's, which evolved into a 24-hour auto and diesel truck engine repair and drive line rebuilding business. They additionally ran a hay hauling business for local farmers. He and Louise also began taking in foster boys from the McLaren School For Boys.

He taught Hunter's Safety classes in Madras, and would help anyone at any time and not ask for anything in return.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Louise A. Faubion of Madras; daughters, Nancy Caikoski and Lori Binder, both of Madras; son, Myrle Loren Faubion of Culver; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a younger brother, and his first son, Dennis L. Faubion.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 7, at the United Methodist Church in Madras, followed by a luncheon to which all friends are welcome.

He was buried in February 2003 at Mount Jefferson Memorial Park, Madras, Jefferson Co., OR, Findagrave #38537625.

Matilda and the infant are buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Harrison, Ohio. After Rosanna's death in late 1860, Charles remarried to Biddy Eads in 1863 at Shelby County, Indiana, and had five additional children with her. Charles Faudree lived on 29 November 1850 at Harrison, Hamilton Co., OH.² He died on 8 April 1881 at Iuka, Marion Co., IL, at age 65.      George Faudree was born after 29 November 1850 at Harrison, Hamilton Co., OH, Charles and Rosanna Faudree had no children listed as of the 1850 census on 29 NOV, when they had been married four months. George was listed as age 10 on the 1860 census, but apparently they rounded his age up. DLB 2020.¹ He was the son of Charles Faudree and Rosanna Shroyer.¹

     Joseph Faudree was born circa 1784 at Virginia.¹ He began military service on 30 December 1813 at Kentucky War of 1812 service, U.S. Army, enlisted, per U.S., Army, Register of Enlistments, 1798-1914 [database on-line]. (Ancestry.com.) He lived in 1820 at Clark Co., KY, census p.86, two sons under age 10, farming. He died after 4 August 1860 at Marion Co. (probably), IL.

     Margaret Faudree was born circa 1852 at Harrison, Hamilton Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Faudree and Rosanna Shroyer.¹

     Mary Elizabeth Faudree was also known as Mary Elizabeth Handley daughter of Sarah Margaret ?? (1858-1938) and her husband John Handley (probably). She was listed on the 1900 census, Gallipolis, Dist. 28, page 21A as Elizabeth Handley, living with her widowed mother and her three siblings, Luella, Flossie, and Denver, but in 1910 and thereafter she is found as Mary Elizabeth Faudree, apparently the step-daughter of Alexander Hudson Faudree (1855-1935), who married Sarah M. Handley sometime after the 1900 census and before the 1910 census. The 1910 census shows Alexander and Sarah married for 15 years, but no evidence of a marriage has been found, and each was living separately and listed as widowed on the 1900 census. Obviously, it is biologically possible that Alexander Faudree was the father of Mary Elizabeth, but it appears most unlikely that was the case. The 1933 Campbell County, Kentucky death certificate for Denver J. Handley is the only known source of information for the name of Sarah Handley's presumptive first husband, John. Her maiden name is unknown. Alternatively, and per the jms_march2009 family tree genealogy prepared by Jolene Shaffer (online at ancestry.com) there was a Sarah Margaret Handley born 23 JAN 1858 in Putnam County, WV, per West Virginia, U.S., Births Index, 1804-1938 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: (Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2011). This person was listed in the 1860, 1870, and 1880 censuses with other family members, and is a demographic match to the Sarah Handley listed on the 1900 census at Gallipolis, Ohio, with her four children. This genealogy shows that she married John Handley, thus her maiden name and married were both "Handley". If she never married, then there is no evidence of the name(s) of the father(s) of any of the four children. DLB 2020.

LONDON, Ohio -- Mary E. Marrah, whose son lives in Little Silver, N.J., died Tuesday at the Madison Elms Nursing Home.

Mrs. Marrah, 87, was born in Gallipolis and lived most of her life here.

She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church and the Rebekah Lodge 725, Order of Eastern Star, here.

Her husband Patrick A., died in 1853.

Surviving are four sons, John A., Little Silver, N.J., William P., Columbus, Richard L., and Robert D., both Worthington; two daughters, Marianna Flynn, Dayton, and Florence Swyers, here; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
