Charles A. Fetzer, 64, of 347 East Stephen Street, died Wednesday afternoon in King's Daughters Hospital where he had been a patient for the last week.
Born in Berkeley County, April 2, 1904, son of George H. and Elva Martin Fetzer., he was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
Mr. Fetzer had followed the plumbing trade all of his life and he was last employed as a plumber by S. L. Minghini and Son.
Surviving are one brother, John Bernard Fetzer, 347 East Stephen Street; three sisters - Miss Sophia Fetzer, Huntington; Mrs. Naomi Miles, 106 East Martin Street; Mrs. E.C. Hockenberry, Route 2; two nieces and seven great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Kogelshatz and Coffman Funeral Home by the Rev. Hayward Y. Rowh. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today and Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.

John Bernard Fetzer, 85, of 347 Stephen Street, former superintendent of Martinsburg Water Works died Monday at Baker VA Center. He had been in failing health for several years.
Born in Balitmore, Md., Jan. 30, 1891, son of George H. and Elva Martin Fetzer., he served during World War I, later joining the Merchant Marine.
He was a member of Berkeley Post 14, American Legion, and Newton D. Baker Post 896 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a member of Equality Lodge No. 44, A.F.&A.M; Lebanon Chapter No. 2, Royal Arch Masons; was a 32nd degree Scotish Rite Mason and a member of Osiris Temple of the Shrine.
He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Evers (Mary) Hockenberry and Mrs. A.W. Miles, both of Martinsburg, and Miss Sophia Fetzer of Ashville, N.C.
Two Brothers, George O. and Charles A. Fetzer, preceded him in death.
Services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Kogelschatz and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Howard L. Fulk, with interment in Rosedale Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from7 to 9 p.m.

Dies on Thursday Morning

Mrs. Susan Cookus, widow of Clarence H. Cookus, died Thursday morning at the home of her son. L.B. Cookus, in her 83rd year.
Mrs. Cookus, until physical disabilities prevented, was a faithful and tireless worker in the Presbyterian Church and especially in the Sunday School Work, she having been a regular teacher for sixty-five years, being a member of the M.E. Church of this place until its dissolution in 1910 when she placed her membership in the Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two sons, L. B. of Romney and Harry of Strasburg, VA.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning in the Presbyterian Church, conducted by her pastor, Rev. C. K. Poole. Interment was made in Indian Mound Cemetery.

She was buried in June 1938 at Indian Mound Cemetery, Romney, Hampshire Co., WV.
