Biography
Troy Earl Detamore was born on 22 March 1931 in Le Flore Co., OK; son of Troy Lee and Jessie F. (Linam) Detamore. SS Applications and Claims Index shows birth date 22 MAR 1930, however he was listed on the April 1940 census as age 9, so 1931 is the correct year. Jessie Linam's biological father is unknown -- she was listed on the 1910 census with her recently-remarried mother, maiden name Etta Rogers, and Etta's husband Thomas W. H. Sweeten, at Cameron, Le Flore County, OK. However Jessie's name was badly written -- it looks like "Branlie Lineum" or something similar. Etta used her Rogers maiden name when she married Thomas Sweeten on 10 JAN 1910 at Sebastian County, AR. However, Jessie was Jessie Linam, age 19, when she married Troy Detamore on 21 MAR 1927, so it appears that her father was a prior husband or unmarried companion of Etta Rogers. DLB 2026. He married
