Mitchell Upole, of rural New Salem, Fayette County, who had been born on 22 DEC 1946 at the same location. Cause of death was accidental asphyxiation in bedclothes. This was apparently Thomas Mitchell Upole, named in the obituary of Betty Jean (Mitchell, Upole) Rosner. On the death certificate, the parents were listed as John Upole and Betty Mitchell. Betty Upole, age 22 and divorced, seamstress, was listed on the 1950 census of Uniontown PA, page 73, as head of household, with a nephew, William Leighty, age 11, also in the household.
