91, of South Charleston died Wednesday, August 19, 2009 in Essex Nursing Home.
She was born in South Charleston, Ohio on March 11, 1918, the daughter of Quill and Lucia (Kirk) Carr. Mrs. Parker was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, South Charleston Community Club, and the Anna Gilbert Chapter, Eastern Star. She retired from the Southeastern School District as a teacher with 30 years of service, with most of her years at Miami View Elementary.
Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her parents, sister Bernice Roche, two brothers Albert and Leon "Buck” Carr, and her husband of fifty years Fred T. Parker.
Her survivors include one daughter and son in law Deanna K. and Howard Myers of South Charleston, one son and daughter in law Thomas C. and Deborah Parker of Lebanon, TN, ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be Saturday from 6-8 PM in the First Presbyterian Church.
Private burial will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family with Rev. Bill Reisenweaver offlciating. Memorial contributions are requested to the First Presbyterian Church PO Box P South Charleston, Ohio 45368 or the S. Charleston Community Club Scholarship Fund PO Box 474 South Charleston, Ohio 45368. RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME has been entrusted with the final arrangements.

He was a member of the Garaway HS Class of '50 and received his BS from Kent State University. After serving in the US Navy during the Korean War, he became an agent for the Allstate Insurance Company.
